About Us
Our aim at Chatterbox Childcare Ltd is to provide an enjoyable, relaxing atmosphere by providing affordable, flexible and accessible childcare for children age 4 1/2 to 12 years in a safe, secure and stimulating environment within Wallace Primary School.
We are registered with the Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (SCSWIS, previously the Scottish Care Commission) and provide before and aftercare (term time) for 30 children.
We are registered with the Scottish Social Service Council and are committed to continually upgrading our own professional development.
Karin - Director/Manager
Karin has been employed within the childcare profession for 20 years and holds the following qualifications - Postgraduate Certificate in Tertiary Education with Teaching Qualification (Further Education), BA Childhood Studies. Karin also lectures in the Childhood Studies Department of West College Scotland and is registered with General Teaching Scotland Council (GTCS).Jill - Director/Manager
Jill has worked within the childcare sector for 19 years, she holds a Professional Development Award in Child Care & Education an HNC & NC ‘Early Years Childcare & Education’. Jill is currently studying for a Master of Arts in BSL, interpreting, translating and applied languages at Heriot Watt University. Laura Scally – Supervisor
Laura has been employed within the childcare sector for 11 years, she holds a Personal Development Award - Early Education & Childcare Education, SVQ 11&111 Early Years Care & Education, First Aid, Elementary Food Hygiene and Child Protection. Gillian – Playleader
Gillian’s childcare experience spans 28 years and she holds a SSNEB in Nursery Nursing, PDA Classroom Assistant, Access in Primary Education and a MA in European Civilisation. Gillian has certificates in First Aid, Elementary Food Hygiene, GIRFEC and Child Protection. For the past 30 years Gillian has been leader for both Guides and Brownies, providing young children with the opportunity to participate in fun based activities, outings and weekend long ‘pack’ holidays. Laura has 12 years childcare experience and holds a SVQ 11 & 111 Early Years Care & Education and Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Catering and Child Protection.We work in partnership with local Colleges, offering work placements to students training in childcare.
